Merry Turtle

I'm using 2 stamps today in my project along with a couple of die cuts from MFT.

I stamped the turtle on a subtle graph type paper, then colored him with colored pencils.
I then stamped the hat of the reindeer on red paper and colored the fur part with a white pencil.
After that I added some white flocking and colored the bell with my glitter gel pen adding the center with a black gel pen.

I cut the dies and added some acetate and foam tape to section off the image.
I then added some Christmas theme glitters I have.
I added a piece of the tan burlap print to cover the tree backing so it didn't show white through the glitter.

Here it is, lots of dimension with foam tape.

I think he's pretty cute!
The hat looks like it was made for him!

You can find the reindeer and turtle in the shop

Someone Has Had One Too Many Cookies!

Good morning - it's Helen here with my final DT inspiration post for July and I've got some more 'Christmas in July' to share with you.

This time I've made a card using the fun 'One Too Many Cookies' digi stamp:

You can find the digi here on the website.

I printed the digi twice and from the second print cut out the word caption and Santa's legs and feet.  I raised both of these on foam pads and added some clear glitter glue to the snow on the top of the chimney.

Here's a view of the card from the side:

Hope you like my card - please leave a comment to let us know that you've visited!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Your Neck of the Woods

Hi, it's Kim from Katydid Cards sharing a  card I made using the adorable Giraffe Photopolymer Stamp:

In previous posts I've colored the images and paper-pieced them.  On this card, I "filled" them with pattern in my Silhouette design screen.  To do this with a photopolymer stamp, all you need to do is stamp it as you normally would, scan it into your computer and then import it to the Silhouette (or the e-cutter you have in your craft room).

Once in my design screen, I trace the image and then select the area(s) I want to fill using the drag and drop method.  Here's a closer look at the image so you can see the various patterns:

I layered the image on two stitched ovals and then placed it on my card base which I embossed with an overall leaf pattern.  I decided I wanted to make my greeting run down the side of the card, so I cut 3/4" from the front right hand side (leaving the back full size).  I printed my greeting on a piece of white card stock and cut it to 1 1/4" and attached it under the front of the card, lining it up with the edge on the back of my card.  Here's a picture, just in case that sounds confusing:

For the sentiment inside, I just couldn't help but refer to your "neck" of the woods...I mean, how can you have a cute giraffe and not refer to his long neck???

For those of you who have an interest, I used the Agent Orange font and filled it with the same pattern as the leaves, making the shadow black.

I hope you like my card and will come back again soon to see what all the other designers have created for you.  And if you have the chance, please come visit me at Katydid Cards as I would love for you to see the other cards I've made recently.

Tons of Fun

I made a card with the new set Tons of Fun which will be coming soon in the Sunsational Stamps Store.
I fancy cut one of the elephants after coloring with Copics, put on a Christmas hat, which I colored and made the fur with Flower Soft.
Here you see a mouse and a present from the set, and both are sticked on foam.
One of the funny sentiments, also stuck on foam.

You can still enter the Challenge 'Christmas in July'. You may enter maximal 3 times and you may also use stamps or digi's from another brand. But if you do use a Sunsational Stamp, please tell us which one and you get another chance of winning.

Tag, You're It!

Hello there!  I am continuing on my Christmas in July mode, I knew I was going to need some extra tags for the holidays and I wanted to use my new image from Sunsational Stamps, Snowman Soup Set which you can find Here.  This set is so cute, besides having several cups of wintry delight to choose from, there are many sentiments and adorable faces you can add to your snowmen.

To make the tag I used Sunny Studios Crescent Tag Topper Dies and their Fishtail Banner Dies.  I absolutely love these in combination with one another.  The tag top has several sizes to choose from and you can make them as long or as short at you like.  The toppers also come with adorable little reinforcer dies in various shapes, I used the circle and star for my tags.  The Fishtail Banner dies come in four styles, and I used them all!  They have deep tick marks in each die to make lining them up straight on your project a breeze!
The paper I chose was Basic Grey, from my stash, obviously an oldie since they have been out of business for a while now.  I love finding stuff in my stash I completely forgot about…it is like Christmas morning when that happens.  Pun intended.  ;)

Chocolate Lovers Greetings

Chocolate Lovers Post

Greetings friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here a little late with my Wednesday post, I am so sorry for that. I had the pleasure of getting a bunch of our clear stamps in the mail last weekend, and have been having fun with them. This set is called Addicted to Chocolate and comes with three awesome bears and the sentiment. What is great is each bear has its favorite chocolate. Using some fun background paper, I went to work.

Addicted To Chocolate

This background paper is from a Die Cuts With A View paper pack, this little bear loves her chocolate bards. Colored with Spectrum Noirs.
This is background paper is from a Doodlebug 6x6 pack. Also colored with Spectrum Noirs and he loves his cocoa.

This background paper is also from a Doodlebug 6x6 pack. Colored with Spectrum Noirs and loving kisses.

I hope you have enjoyed this project.

Santa's Chimney

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with another post for Sunsational Stamps.  This month we are celebrating Christmas in July.

I love this image - I often imagined growing up that Santa would one day get stuck in a chimney from eating all those cookies!!

I colored the bricks with red and brown markers.  I also colored Santa's suit and his boots.  I matted this panel with black cardstock and added it to some Christmas paper before matting it with white and brown cardstock.

How adorable, right?

Remember to stop by the Sunsational Store to see all the stamps available.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas in July with Marji

For today's card I am using a physical stamp! lol, I seriously need to ink my stamps more!
They were my first love and I've neglected them for digital images.
This cutie is simply called Reindeer.
I stamped him on kraft brown paper and used pencils to color his antlers and inner ears.
I used my gel pens for his eyes and nose so they have some shine.
I stamped him a second time and cut just his hands and feet, honestly, I did this twice, I colored his hooves black but decided I liked the simpler look for him.
I then cut the bunny from some of the paper I used for the background quilt so he's got a gift to give.
After I cut 2 inch blocks from 3 different papers, I pieced them onto a piece of card front then ran it through my big shot with this cute embossing folder.
 What do you think? Sweet?

Be sure to head to the shop and check out all the new stuff!

Our challenge this month is Christmas in July, so be sure to link up!

Christmas In July

Hi everyone, my name is Izabella Kurdian and i am new member of Sunsational Stamps.I created this card for the Christmas In July challenge, using Owl Be Home for Christmas, You Can Count on Me stamp from Sunsational Stamps.
I used my Tim Holtz distress inks to create watercolor background, added white embossed stars with some Wink of Stella.I colored the owl with my Spectrum Noir Markers.I used foam squares to adhere my owl and my sentiment to my card. Then I adhere the front panel to a A2 size card base with a blue piece of card stock for little more interest.I think he is a lot of fun, you can find him and many more cute stamps @Sunsational Stamps or on Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/sunsationalstamps

Sleigh Bells Ring .... Are You Listening?

Are you singing 'Walking in a Winter Wonderland' yet?!

It's Helen here with another inspiration post and I'm sticking to the 'Christmas in July' theme for today's card.

I've used the very cute 'Sleigh Bells Ring' digi stamp, coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with some glitter glue.

You can find the stamp here on the website.

Here's a side view of the card:

It's a very easy card to make. The base is two strips of card measuring 28cm by 4cm with each one scored and 14cm and folded in half.  I've used red gingham paper on the front of each piece and then the image is  matted on to red card and forms a 'bridge' between them.

I've finished the card with some gems and Card Candi.

And speaking of Christmas, have you entered our 'Christmas in July' challenge yet?  Have a look at all the details here.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
