You Are My Honey!

Sweet greetings to y'all, today I made an anniversary card for my hubby.  I used the adorable Woodsy Critters digi set from Sunsational Stamps that you can get Here. This set is packed with many adorable images…critters and their accessories.  :)

I chose the bear…as you can tell from previous posts, I am partial to bears.  I colored him with Copic markers.  I also colored and die cut some adorable bees and hearts from one of my favorite Honey Bee Stamp sets Busy Bees and the sentiment was from the Bee-You-tiful Sentiments set, which I embossed with an older Ranger embossing powder in Lettuce Green.  The hive was made using two kinds of hearts from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The tree branch was actually the tree from my Elizabeth Craft Designs die All Seasons Tree.  I am famous for using die cuts in a non traditional way…I like to get the most bang for my buck!

I added Wink of Stella shimmer to the bees wings and the hearts.  I used Ebony Nuvo Drops for his eyes.  I LOVE the look on his adorable little face.
I used a Lawn Fawn landscape die on some Bazzill cardstock in green (sorry, I forgot to take note of the color name) added that to sky blue cardstock.  Mounted that onto a piece of Kraft cardstock and put the whole kit-n-kaboodle onto the card base.  I forgot to mention that I had popped up the "beehive" and I did not adhere the leaves down, just the stem, so the leaves have a little dimension.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.  Please follow the blog by clicking on the "Follow Me" button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with another post for Sunsational Stamps.  This month we are getting ready for Fall and Halloween.   Be sure to check out the store for some fun stamps perfect for the season.

Today I'm using Happy Fall Y'all.    Love how the cute hedgehog is hugging those pumpkins.

I used several colors of distress inks and a water brush to color the images.  I started with a light shade of brown on the pumpkins, then added dark brown and dark orange highlights with a touch of green for the leaves.  The hedgehog was also lightly inked with a pale cream ink.

The panel was inked with brown ink then matted with green and black cardstock.  The card was distressed before the panel was added.

Happy Fall Y'all! was cut apart, inked and matted to match the image.  Then the phrase was added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by.

Steph

Having One Of Those Days?

Hi All! Margreet here.
Today I want to share some inspiration with you using one of the cute ostriches from the digi Wild About You which is for sale in the Sunsational Stamps Store I earlier made a card with one of the lovely ostriches, which you can find here.
I have colored with copics and I die cut the digi, just as the matching text, with a Crealies' die. I fastened the text with foam. Some eye candy for the finishing touch.

Foxy Fall

Greetings, today I wanted to make an autumn card with one of my favorite woodland critters…a fox!  I am partial to foxes because my grand-pup is a Yorkie, but he looks just like a baby fox.  Swoon…  You can find Sunsational Stamps Woodsy Critters Here, this digi set is such a bargain!  You get so many adorable woodland animals plus a few extras!

I colored the fox and log with my alcohol markers and fussy cut them out.  I used Elizabeth Craft Designs All Season Tree dies to cut out the tree and autumn colored leaves.  I used a postage stamp style die for the blue (sky) background and mounted that all on a muted army green card base.  I adhered all the elements and popped the fox up with foam tape.

I hope you liked today's card, and we would love it if you would follow the blog by clicking on the "Follow Me" button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don't miss a thing!

cuddly halloween

Hi peeps,

It's shylaa here today to share some inspiration on our current challenge - Fall related. Halloween is a important event in fall season and i couldn't resist my hand in trying with these cute cuddly bears.

here is my card with halloween stamp

I created the background with Sugary pulm lawn Distress Inks. Fussy cut the precoloured digi and adhered it to the center of the diecut panel. For my greeting, I printed it on the white cardstock and distressed edges and then popped it up with some foam tape. Have not embellished to keep the stamp as main focal point.

Bookworm by Marji

I am using the adorable book worm stamp today.
I stamped him 3 times, on white glossy paper, on green and again on red.
I cut out the pieces and glued them together, adding some white gel pen and crystal effects.

I used some fun school theme papers and a fabric flower.
Simple and pretty cute if I say so myself.

Be sure to head to the shop and see what's new!

Join our challenge, this month's theme is fall.

Fall Inspiration

Sept 2017 Fall Inspiration

Hi Everyone
I created an art journal page for the fall inspiration. The stamped image was colored and cut out.
For the sky I used some blue ink(two different shades) and with a paper towel |I wiped it all over to give it this look. For the mountain or uneven ground I cut out two solid green and a flowered print to give it more dimension. The clouds and sun are die cut outs that \I have in my collection. This cute squirrel can be purchased at http://sunsationalstamps.com/product-category/clear-stamps/fall/page/2/.

Waiting for Fall

It's Margreet here today to share some inspiration with you using Cats on a Fence which is for sale HERE in the Sunsational Stamps Store.

I first printed the digi on copypaper and partly cut it out. Then I put it with temporary adhesive on the digi to be coloured, so I was able to color the background with distress oxide ink (Spiced Marmalade and Fossilized Amber). After that I took off the mask and coloured the rest of the digi. I coloured the fence with Derwent Procolour pencils.
The text is computer generated and die cut with a banner die.

Hope you will join the September challenge 'Fall'
You may enter maximal 3 times and you may also use stamps or digi's from another brand. But if you do use a Sunsational Stamp, please tell us which one and you get another chance of winning.

Wishing you a nice day!

In With Autumn

Hi there fellow crafters, I was looking at the plants today and noticed how the colors are starting to change.  Not quite the reds, oranges and vibrant yellows of fall, but the typical flowers and foliage of late summer, Black Eyed Susan, Strawflowers, Sunflowers and whatever those gorgeous purple leafy things are…I am clearly not a botanist.  So today I thought we could take a peek at the beginning of our early autumn palate with a gold embossed vellum card.

I did something completely different today, I printed out the digi images I wanted in my scene and I traced them onto the vellum with pencil.  Next I retraced the images with my embossing pen, sprinkled it with gold embossing powder and heat set it.  I almost left it plain, I loved the look so much, but decided to color the images in as planned with alcohol markers.  You have to color the back side of the vellum for it to look good.  The images I used were Squirrel with Fence and Squirrel with Pumpkins & Sunflower, you can find them Here.
I mottled the petals to give them interest and I colored the entire center with 4 or 5 different colors, but instead of flicking or coloring I used dots to replicate the center of a sunflower.  I added lines to the acorns and just colored the remaining images as usual.

I sponged Broken China and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks onto the card base and  then stamped it with "Life is Good" stamp from one of my Close To My Heart sets.  I added Matte Multi Media glue to the image outlines (so it would not show through the vellum) and adhered it to the inked card base.  I added three little Queen & Co Ice bling to highlight the sentiment and called it a day.

Please head on over to Sunsational Stamps September Challenge, the theme is Fall.  You can get there from Here

I hope you enjoyed todays technique and card.  Please follow the blog by clicking on the "Follow Me" button, Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don't miss a thing!
