Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween everyone.  Steph Ackerman here with a cute card using the Trick or Treat Set.  This stamp set has 11 stamps for you to create a nice variety of Halloween cards.

I used a masking technique to create my design so it appears the ghosts are hovering over the pumpkin.

The pumpkin was colored with Copic Markers and the image was die cut with Spellbinders dies.

Using an assortment of Halloween papers, I created the card, then added the image on a larger circle before placing it on the card.  Trick or Treat was stamped and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Fairy Good Birthday

Hi all! Margreet here.
This time I made a card using the cute digi stamp Fairy Good Birthday, which you can find here in the shop.
I used copics to color in and die cut with a Crealies stiched die. The shape is a Dutch Doobadoo stencil and I distressed all edges. I edded lace and some banners to finish it off.
 Thanks for passing by!

Spinner Card - Boo!

Hello - it's Helen here today to share a spinner card that I've made using the fabulour 'Trick or Treat' stamp set.

Here's what you get in the set:

You can find the set here on the website.

My first photo (above) shows the spinner one way round and here it is the other way round:

And here's a short video showing the card spinning.  A little tip I picked up from my friend Sylvia - spin the spinner part of the card several times before you send the card and then when the recipient opens it to stand it up, the spinner will turn by itself!

Halloween fun!

Hey there crafty pals! I have a couple of fun cards for you today.
These are some I made in the past.  I have been at the hospital all last week with my mom, so I didn't have time to get my new project finished.
Mom is home and doing really well.

You still have time to join our Halloween challenge!
Head to the shop to check out all the great images available!

They're Ookie and They're Spooky

Hi there, today I needed another Halloween card so I couldn't wait to use the cute little spooks in the Spooktacular Halloween digi set by Sunsational Stamps.  I love how adorable these little characters are.  This set packs in a lot of images, and you can find it Here

I started out by making two background pieces using the JustRite Crackle and the JustRite Brick background stamps.  I stamped the Brick background on a piece of medium grey cardstock using Close To My Heart Slate ink.  I then stamped the Crackle background onto white cardstock using CTMH Whisper ink.  I VERY LIGHTLY sponged the Whisper ink onto the white cardstock so it would just barely tint the paper but not to blend out the crackle pattern.

The next step was to cut my windows in the crackle patterned piece.  I used a 1-1/4" square and a 3-1/2" circle (that I only partially cut) to form the half circle window.  I then trimmed the bottom using an Exacto knife and straightedge.  I backed this piece with a light yellow cardstock so it looked like eerie light coming from the windows.

I printed out the super cute pumpkin, ghost and bat, then colored them using my Copic markers.  I fussy cut them out leaving a very thin outline, so they popped a bit.  I added each one to a window.  I then drew in spider webs and added this panel to the brick background piece using foam tape to pop it up.  The whole shebang was added to a white card base.

I found this shiny and whimsical Happy Halloween border piece in my stash.  It was from an old K&Company collection I have had since a class I took many years ago at Scrapfest, gosh I miss that event…sigh.

Happy Halloween Scarecrow

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today and as we are heading towards the end of October, it's time to create Halloween projects. I've used this fun image today: Cornfield Scarecrow.

I colored the image with Zig markers, then fussy cut it.

I had some fun Halloween paper in my stash which I layered with cardstock.  For a rustic effect to coordinate with the image, I used distress inks on my papers which I then added to my card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Just Flying By To Say Happy Halloween

Boo to you all, today I have a shaker card featuring Sunsational Stamps Spooktacular Halloween set, and you can find it Here.  The image I used from this set was the silhouette of a witch and her kitty on a broom.

For the back panel I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink to color an area for the moon.  I fussy cut out the witch and glued her to the center of the moon.

The front panel I began by heat embossing a scary tree from my Raisin Boat Eerie Night set (they are back in production!) in black.  I sponged on Distress Oxide inks using Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Black Soot.  Then I flicked water onto the background and let it sit a minute before I blotted it dry with a paper towel.

I die cut out a 2" circle for the moon/shaker opening, cover it with acetate, filled it with stars and tiny iridescent beads from Honey Bee Stamps and added foam tape to build up the shaker layer and then put the two layers together.

I added a few bats from the same Raisin Boat set and added Wink of Stella to them ( I don't think the photo is picking up that sparkle).  And finally I added the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Sunsational set, hand drew in a spider web and called it done.

I hope you enjoyed todays card, please follow our blog by clicking on the "Follow Me" button and Like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram so you don’t miss a thing!

Happy Scrappin'

Trick or Treat

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with another post for Sunsational Stamps.  This month we are getting ready for Fall and Halloween.   Be sure to check out the store for some fun stamps perfect for the season.

Today, I've created a card with Cats on a Fence

I began by coloring the image with markers and inks, blending them together.  Then I fussy cut the image.  Don't you love all the details?

I created a card from black cardstock then added striped paper on top.  I wanted the image to stand out so I placed it on a black panel which I then added to some Halloween paper that I edges with black cardstock.  The Trick or Treat tag was slipped behind the panel.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Heidi the Witch

A new month means a new challenge at the Sunsational Stamps blog. The theme for this month is HALLOWEEN.
You may enter with a maximum of 3 times and the use of a stamp or digi from another company is allowed. If you use a Sunsational Stamps' image, tell us which one for an extra chance to win.

I made a card with digi Heidi the Witch, which you can find HERE in the webshop.
I printed the digi 2x, of which 1x on copypapers. I cut this one and masked it on the digi in order to color the moon with Pan Pastel first.
Then I used a fixative, removed the mask and colored the digi with Copics.
At the left top I put a spider's web with a spider and at the bottom several black cats.
Thanks for stopping by today!
