Last Minute Christmas Card

Hello - it's Helen here to share a last minute Christmas card.

I've used the tree stamp from the 'Elf With Tree' set which you can find here.

I stamped once on the a piece of square card and then twice on to scrap card.  I cut out the tree and attached this with foam pads over my original image.

Next I cut out the snow layers and added these with foam pads.  I coloured the green with a Promarker and added a clear glitter glue to the snow layers.

Don't forget to enter our current challenge here - the theme is 'the magic of Christmas'.

Holiday Triple Play

Welcome to Triple Play Wednesday!  We are upon that time of year where crafters have to get a move-on to complete (or begin) their holiday gifts, tags, cards etc.  Today I am using the stamp/image set You’re One Cool Friend from Sunsational Stamps to make three different holiday items.

Close up of snowman from You're One Cool Friend set

I am IN LOVE with this adorable snowman and his sidekick cardinal, I printed him out three times, colored him in with alcohol markers, added A Wink of Stella to make it glisten.  I colored clear gems with a black alcohol marker to make the snowman’s eyes appear to be coal and added some random highlight dots with a white gel pen.  Finally I fussy cut each one out then moved on to the packaging they were to be added to.
I embossed the gift tag with the polka dot embossing folder in my eBosser and added snowflake sequins for a little extra sparkle.  On the candy wrapper I adhered that fabulous transfer foil that I used a few weeks ago, to do this I put Scor tape along the top and bottom and pressed the foil onto the tape to adhere, then I simply lifted the foil sheet off and voila, a beautiful strip of silver foil to accent the wrapper.

Christmas seal

Hey there, I missed my last post, it's been a busy busy few months for me, I can't seem to keep up with things. Days slip by quickly.

Anyway, I pulled out this cutie and gave him a santa hat. I love using every day images for other times.
This is really simple and would be so fun for anyone on your list.
I attached him to the card with an Action wobble to make it more fun!

You Light Me Up

Hello fellow crafters, I am in the process of making about four trillion holiday cards and tags…well maybe not quite that many, but let me tell you it is A LOT.  So with no further adieu, here is today’s holiday card.  I used You Light Me Up set/images by Sunsational Stamps.  I love how “Merry & Bright” these adorable holiday lights are!

You Light Me Up set

Close-up of You Light Me Up images

I wanted to make another shaker card because they are so dang fun!  This one I watercolored the background with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.  Next I stamped the sentiment on acetate with StazOn.  I sponged Evergreen Bough Distress Ink onto the little frame I die cut, then attached the acetate to the backside of the frame then on the watercolor background I made a pile of shaker elements…snowflakes, sequins and large glitter flakes by WOW.  I added foam tape to the back of the frame and adhered it over the watercolor background.  Then I added CTMH thick twine in Fern, making little loop-de-loops and adhering them down with Glossy Accents.  I wanted it to appear like a wonky sting of lights. I printed out the bulb images then cut them out and adhered them to the frame/string.  I glued all that down to a card base that I embossed with a swirly pattern.
I sure hope you enjoyed todays project.  Please visit http://www.sunsationalstamps.com to find this and so many other adorable holiday stamp sets and digital images.  We would love it if you would like us on Facebook and click on the ‘Follow Me’ button so you don’t miss a thing!

Gobble all the Time

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today using this Gobble stamp.  It's so doggone cute!!

Since I wanted some dimension, I stamped it twice and fussy cut one of the images.

I colored both with images Copic Markers.  Then used glue dots to place the fussy cut image atop the main image.  It gives it just the right amount of dimension.  Then I added ink around the panel before matting it with cardstock.

The panel was then added to a striped card.  The phrase was also matted and added to the corner of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Steph

A Little Bit of Christmas ....

Hello - it's Helen here today to share a little bit of Christmas inspiration with you.

I've made a card using the very cute 'Snowman 1' digi - isn't he a cheerful looking guy?!

I coloured the image with Promarkers and added some glitter glue to his hat.  The sentiment I've used is a peel off.

Keep checking back here for more inspiration from the Design Team and I'll see you later in the month with some more Christmas inspiration.

Gobble Til You Wobble and Wobble and Wobble

Gobble, gobble!  Who doesn't indulge just a little too much on Thanksgiving?  I saw Sunsational Stamps adorable Tom Turkey image and I instantly thought of him wobbling, so I grabbed one of those Action Wobblers, printed out Tom Turkey and got coloring.  I used alcohol markers on him, I did not take the time to shade him as I think he is very cartoony and whimsical looking so the solid coloring fits the mood.  I cut him out leaving a slight border and added the wobbler to the back.

I wanted to make a raised top panel so I die cut a 3" circle centering it horizontally, but cutting it more toward the top half on a piece of brown patterned paper from my stash.  I also die cut a piece of fun foam at the same time to use that to raise the panel. I die cut a dark brown twig wreath from one of my Elizabeth Craft Designs dies to frame out the opening and my wobbly turkey!  I added Queen & Co Orange Slice gems to the wreath.  I made a GOBBLE sentiment block using some of my Authentique letters.  I adhered this top panel to the cream-colored card base, added my wobbly turkey and moved on to the inside.

I die cut 3 colorful feathers from a Studio Calico die that my sweet and generous daughter gifted me from her stash.  I layered the dark brown paper, brown patterned paper and an additional cream piece that I had printed 'til you Wobble on.  I added the feathers and added these layers to the inside and called it done!

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween everyone.  Steph Ackerman here with a cute card using the Trick or Treat Set.  This stamp set has 11 stamps for you to create a nice variety of Halloween cards.

I used a masking technique to create my design so it appears the ghosts are hovering over the pumpkin.

The pumpkin was colored with Copic Markers and the image was die cut with Spellbinders dies.

Using an assortment of Halloween papers, I created the card, then added the image on a larger circle before placing it on the card.  Trick or Treat was stamped and added to the card with foam adhesives for dimension.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Fairy Good Birthday

Hi all! Margreet here.
This time I made a card using the cute digi stamp Fairy Good Birthday, which you can find here in the shop.
I used copics to color in and die cut with a Crealies stiched die. The shape is a Dutch Doobadoo stencil and I distressed all edges. I edded lace and some banners to finish it off.
 Thanks for passing by!

Spinner Card - Boo!

Hello - it's Helen here today to share a spinner card that I've made using the fabulour 'Trick or Treat' stamp set.

Here's what you get in the set:

You can find the set here on the website.

My first photo (above) shows the spinner one way round and here it is the other way round:

And here's a short video showing the card spinning.  A little tip I picked up from my friend Sylvia - spin the spinner part of the card several times before you send the card and then when the recipient opens it to stand it up, the spinner will turn by itself!
