Have a Smurfy Thanksgiving

While I was coloring the Pilgrim Woman for last week's blog posting, I thought to myself, she would make a great Smurfite so I colored her blue, placed on Smurf background paper I found on a Internet search and created this card.

Howdy BOooo

Hello my Family of Crafters! Sadly enough this is my last post of a Halloween Card, but only for this year... I done many cards for my friends and family with this Stamp from Sunsational Stamps, and this is the favorite of everyone that I sent cards too.
The Card is a standard A2 card. I used my Derwent Colored Pencils to color her in. I place it upon a black 80 pound card stock. I made this card into a standing card. a folding card kept falling over, and I wanted the beautiful owls to show..I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the bats and just placed them on the card with multi medium glue.. The background was done with Memento Danuble Danube Blue ink and also the grass was done with Memento Cottage Ivy ink..

That about does it for my last Halloween Card for the year.. It was a Blast to use this Digital Stamp. Here is a link to the wonderful Sunsational Stamps Page for you can get your and many others also  .http://www.sunsationalstamps.com/. Hope you all enjoyed and See you all around.. Happy Halloween!

Floating Ghosts Card

Here is a last minute Halloween card...well not last minute to make, but last minute to post...lol
Actually it doesn't take very long to make and the floating ghosts are a cool effect.  The ghosts are from Sunsational Stamps Trick Or Treat stamp set.

Gobble gobble

I saw this style on a blog hop and I'm sorry, I can not remember who it was.
Who ever you are, thanks for a great idea for shaped cards!  The card is the turkey and he's attached to a card sized layer.  It still fits in a regular envelope.  I love it, you get the shaped card cuteness and the surprise of it being attached to something.

You can find this cute dude here.

Let's Talk Turkey

I know I am stating the obvious here, but Thanksgiving will be here before you know it, so... I have been busy making more cards.  I love this time of the year, I try to be thankful each and every day, but I really like that there is a day set aside for us to reflect on our blessings.
My card today is a bit whimsical, but it still conveys a heartfelt thanks.  I used Sunsational Stamps Tom Turkey image.  I just love the look on his adorable face!

For the background, I didn't want to distract from Tom Turkey's whimsical image, so I stamped it in subtle shades of yellow and green.  I used the "Rock-n-Roll" technique with the full tree image.  First I inked it up in CTMH Canary Yellow and then I rolled the edges and dabbed here and there in the center of the stamp with CTMH Topiary.  I sponged Distress Peeled Paint for the grass and Distress Tumbled Glass for the sky. I highlighted the shadows of the trees with my ShinHan Sap Green alcohol maker.  I adhered Tom Turkey to the shaker window by gluing just the part that was behind the frame.  I added foam tape to raise the window frame up.  Before adding the shaker elements I rubbed them with my Embossing Buddy to remove the static cling without dulling the acetate window.  Finally I added the whole thing to a card base and stamped the inside with my Always Grateful sentiment.
Thank you so much for stopping by and I would love it if you would hop on over to http://www.sunsationalstamps.com to see all the great images and stamps that are just waiting for your creative juices!  Please visit my blog at www.papercanvascreations.wordpress.com  Please follow our blog by clicking on the Follow Me button and Like us on Facebook so you don't miss a thing!

Entry table decoration

HI everyone here is my Tuesday post.  This is a entryway table decoration.  I have used 2 "Z" fold cards.  I have glued them together in the back. I made the arch with my math compass.  I put a small fold at the bottom of the arch, cut it in the center.  I then glued it half on the front and half on the back of the card.  I then covered it with my card stock and added my stamps.  I have used Scrapping with Lisa Designs DIGI stamps  Pilgrim Man , Pilgrim Woman , Native American Woman and Native American Man.  Please stop by ladybugs inspiration to view this decoration and more of my blog.  Also stop by the Sunsational Stamps blog spot or there YouTube channel for many amazing craft ideas...   As always stop by there Facebook page and check things out...  If you would like to join my blog please click on the orange box next to the follow button....  Thanks and have a Sunsational day!!!!!

Friends Feast Together..

Good Morning my Crafty Family... Today I made a simple card with a image that I love from Sunsational Stamps...
The Heading is Friends Feast Together, and it is so true... I messed up on the eyes but instead of starting over I went with it.. It was just to precious to discard.. I used my Paper Pumpkin Stamp kit for the little flowers falling for the background. I also printed this image on Water Color Cold Press paper.. I love how the friends came together with each an offering for the meal.. The card measures A2 so it will be easy to mail and require no extra postage. I colored in the image using my Koi Water Color Paint set and I made the clothes of the friends in a simple color resembling their time error. I hope you all enjoy and have a great weekend full of Crafty Fun...

A Thanksgiving page for the 8x8 mini-album

I have been working on a 8x8 mini-album, titled "My First" for my granddaughter to have and use for their third child; and I just completed a Thanksgiving page.

I print and cut the following images from Scrapping with Lisa Designs

http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/images/large/PilgrimMan745x1053.png

and

Pilgrim Woman

Files used:
  1. Fence from October's ChooChoo Train kit by Creative Kuts
  2. Design paper from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking
  3. Count Your Blessings title from misskatecuttables
  4. Corn stalks from SilhouetteAmerica Online Design Store
  5. I used my Prismacolour markers and copics for coloring the clothes and shoes; using a blending marker for all.
  6.  Highlighted eyes and shoes with a white gel pen; and the belt buckle on hat and suit with a silver glitter pen/marker from Wink by Stella.
Stayed tune here for my posting for next week, October 31, 2015

Friends Feast Together Wreath

Greeting fellow paper crafters.  I needed a Thanksgiving wreath for my front door, I have never had one and I have had 30 Thanksgivings as a married lady….I guess you could say this was loooonnng overdue!
Friends Feast Together Wreath
Friends Feast Together Wreath
I printed the Pilgrim and Indian images, from Sunsational Stamps Friends That Feast Together set, at 3 inches.  I used a wooden embroidery hoop as the "wreath" and stained it with Distress Fired Brick stain.  I love using distress stains on wooden items, the stain takes real well on any item I applied it to.
I then "stretched" the burlap and ribbon into the hoop and decided to use the indented side as the front, that way I could place all my elements inside it.  In the upper portion I put the little Pilgrim pie lady with the message that I mounted on a Tea Dye Distressed base.  I made a loopy bow with wire ribbon and attached that at the bottom right corner.  Then I hot glued some silk autumn leaves to the frame and burlap in the bottom right.  I nestled the little images amongst the leaves and called it done.  It was a real quick project and I now have something festive for my door to greet my Thanksgiving guests.

Salt and Pepper Table Toppers

Good Morning Crafting Friends... I hope you all had  a Crafty Week... I have been working on some Fall Decorations and thought these Pilgrim Children would make a great center piece for my kitchen table..
The Stamp of Course is from the Talented Team at Sunsational Stamps.. I used my silhouette to cut out the Salt and Pepper pattern.. I think they came out lovely and unique.. I used my Martha Stewart Markers to color in the children and used stamps from my Paper Pumpkin for the pumpkins and acorns. The leaves were also cut with the Silhouette and then I just added distress ink to them for shading.
Very easy project and it was so much fun to make.. I hope to keep these for many years to enjoy.. Hope you all have a awesome weekend and until next Saturday... Keep Crafting...

Too Cute To Eat Thanksgiving Card

Too Cute To Eat
using white card stock for the base, and mats from Washi green from Stampin! Up and the striped design paper from a paper pad from Walmart.

Used prismacolour markers to color the Turkey, and placed on a shaped mat cut out using my Silhouette Studio DE software.  The black dots I created using my square measuring tool.

Thanksgiving - Part 3

There are so many ways to add special touches to Thanksgiving....and here are a couple more.
For these two projects I used Thanksgiving Tags from Scrapping With Lisa Designs a division of Sunsational Stamps .
The cutting files are SVG, PDF, JPEG, EPS, DXF, and PNG, and if you don't have a Cricut Explore, Cameo, or Silhouette, you can cut them out by hand ... which is what I did for this project.

Above I made a napkin ring with rafia and a tag that I "dressed up".  I think napkin rings make dinner seem more special.  Below are pictured the other 2 tags that come in the set....I "dressed" them up as well.  I also thought about the leftovers that often get sent home with guests, or a pie we might drop off with a friend, and thought these tags would give them a special touch.  And there is plenty of room to personalize them with a name or "Give Thanks", etc.

It's Turkey Time!

Gobble, Gobble all!  I have been hard at work creating a flock of Thanksgiving cards, and here is one of those creations using the Turkey stamp/image from Sunsational Stamps. Isn't he adorable?!  I decided to sponge on Distress Ink, layering Ripe Persimmons and Mustard Seed to create a ombre effect.  Once I had it blended the way I wanted it I flicked some water onto it to get those water spots.  Next I cut it out on my eBosser using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square dies.  I then layered it on a square of dark orange cardstock, and then the tone on tone patterned base adding a few green pearls.  Finally I die cut the sentiment from a scrap piece of green and glued them to a thin strip of dark yellow.

Tom Turkey Thanksgiving Card and Mini-album pages

Good morning and hope your day is a blessed one.  Here is a card I created for our Thanksgiving Day theme card/projects.  I used Tom Turkey for my first card of 2015 season.

I used my prismacolour markers to color the Turkey and the bow tie was colored in with Wink of Stella Blue glitter ink.  The title I created with a font from my font directory in Studio DE software and all was print and cut onto white card stock, with Tom Turkey printed as a stamped image whereas I colored in.

I took a piece of black card stock and scalloped punched the bottom edge, layered the white onto it and than placed two black button beads in left corner.

Now to the 2-page mini-album pages I created title First Halloween.

The first page with Teddy Bear with a carved pumpkin I used a font from my font directory and created 'First Halloween' and placed bats onto the shadowed backing.  The bats came from the Make the Cut Library.

Paper is from a personal stash I've had for some time (purchased when Wal-mart sold scrapbook paper!!)  I created the frame with a bat on one corner.  I used black and white polka dot washi tape (don't like washi tape at all - does not stick took long) for the bottom as the design paper was just a hair too short on the poster board that I used  for each page.

Second page is a bale of hay that is from Creative Kuts; and the ghost tag and pumpkins from misskatecuttables.  Not sure where the spider web came from, but I cut it out using my Explore along with the carved pumpkins...Explore does a great job of print and cut - NO white edges.

Here is the link for Tom Turkey
