Send In The Clowns

Howdy to all the rule followers and rule breakers out there.  Today my card is using the adorable Flipping Out image set from Sunsational Stamps.  As a rule, I am not a fan of clowns, but all rules are made to be broken, and that is why I fell in love with this cute clown!  He is just so cheerful and I can't help but smile when I see him.

I manipulated his image to give it a fun cartwheel appearance.  Then I colored him with my ShinHan alcohol markers using primary colors on his clothing and of course he has orange hair, because it is such a happy color!  I popped up a heart I had die cut and called it done.  :)

Bee Mine Valentine

Making cards for my granddaughters is easy....making them for my grandson not so easy.  But I think this Bee Mine image from Sunsational Stamps is just perfect.

I had some paper that looks like sky with fluffy clouds and thought that it would be perfect for the bees flying in the sky.  I colored the heart and the bees wings with Twinkling H2O watercolors so they has a nice shimmer.  The BEE MINE! was done using Zig 2 Way glue pen and gold foil.  The bees were colored with Distress Markers.  I printed the image THREE times so I could cut and layer it creating a 3D effect and used 3D Foam Squares for dimension.

I love adding sparkle and dimension to things.

Stinking Cute Valentine

Here is another Valentine for one of my grandbabies.  

I used the Stinking Cute Valentine image 

from Sunsational Stamps 

I made a center step card and used some left over scraps from the Happy Days digital paper pack from Art By Miran ...I love it so much I couldn't waste it.  I colored the image and sentiment with Distress Markers

Sweet lion

I made a sweet Valentine card using the cute lion stamp.   I used my gel pens to color him in.

I Whaley Love You!

Happy Fourth Wednesday of January!  Today is the fourth installment of my Old School style Valentines.  We used the whaley adorable I Whaley Love You set from Sunsational Stamps.

I Whaley Love You! Card

I used my eBosser and the large wood grain embossing folder, but I ran my paper in sideways so it would look like water instead of wood.  ;)  I die cut stitched circles, one in the white card base and the next size up in the blue embossed paper.

I colored the whales with ShinHan alcohol markers and sponged Tumbled Glass Distress ink on the background.  I added white gel pen dots to the water spouts.  The final touch was to put Clear Droplets from Pretty Pink Posh and little red enamel hearts from CTMH.

Sweet Valentine and Theraputic Coloring

This is the first of the Valentine's I'm making for my grandkids.  
The one I'm using here is 

Loves Me Not, Loves Me from Sunsational Stamps 

Besides the fact that it is adorble, it is also easy to color.  

On Theraputic Coloring....I used colored pencils to color this image.  For me there are some images that are more relaxing and theraputic to color than others.  I find Sunsational Stamps fit into that catagory.  Sometimes I just need to relax without having to worry about a ton of detail and shading and such.  I think we all need times to color just to relax...so grab a Sunsatonal Stamp image and enjoy yourself :)

If you are wondering about those glassy eyes....that was done with Liquid Glass from CTMH ...I thought it helped the eyes look more realistic.
